EatThisMuch.com is a great tool to use when losing weight.
EatThisMuch.com is a paid membership website that does your meal planning for you, according to your preferences.
If you haven’t used it, check it out (I am not an affiliate or affiliated with the website in any way).
Here’s what I love about it:
- It does all your meal-planning for you, according to your preferences.
- All recipes are super-quick and super-easy to make (almost always less than 15 minutes in the kitchen!)
- Very user-friendly and self-explanatory. You don’t have to take time to learn how to use it.
- You choose your food preferences – what you will and won’t eat.
- You choose how many meals a day you want – I set mine up for two meals a day.
- You set your daily food budget (Mine is under $10/day).
- You set your macro goals – I have mine at 40% protein, 40% carbs, and 20% fat.
- It automatically creates a weekly shopping list for you, and you choose your shopping day.
- You can upvote or downvote meals. If you downvote, they won’t show again. If you upvote, they show up more often.
- If you don’t like something, you can regenerate a new plan in seconds with the click of your mouse.
- You can update, change, or tweak your preferences at any time quite easily.
Super Simple
One of the worst things for me is trying to figure out what food to make every day. I HATE it. So, having meal plans made up for me is perfect!
So Many Preferences – Matched!
My goals are to lose fat and gain muscle, so I choose to be careful about both how many calories I eat in a day and to strictly follow my macro plan, which is 40% protein, 40% carbs, and 20% fat.
Trying to find daily meals that meet both my calorie and macro requirements, along with being vegan, normally takes too much time. Using EatThisMuch is perfect for me because it creates meal plans:
- within my calorie and macro goals
- within a budget of no more than $10/day
- AND it excludes my preferences of the things I don’t eat like oil, salt, meat, eggs, dairy, and sugar.
AWESOME!
Easy to Use
I use EatThisMuch.com on my desktop, so I can’t comment much about mobile use. But I find it very user-friendly. Looking at the meal plan on the website, I instantly see a chart with each meal and each day’s calories and macro content breakdown. When I hover over the title of the meal, a little box pops up with the instructions on how to make it, so I never have to click away.
I can export daily or weekly plans in pdf format or email them to myself. I usually save the pdf to re-use later. I also print out the included shopping list to take to the store every weekend. It’s super convenient, and it saves me a LOT of time.
Lots of Customizations
In addition to setting my initial preferences, such as:
- Calorie goals
- Macronutrient goals
- Daily food budget ($)
- How many meals per day
- Foods to include and exclude
it’s easy to further customize the plan. When there’s a food I don’t like, I simply hit the “thumbs down” icon, and it doesn’t get included again. When I like something, I hit “thumbs up”, and it gets included more often. If I don’t like a plan, I hit the “regenerate” button, and I get a whole new plan. I love it!
If you are picky when it comes to what you eat, EatThisMuch makes a lot of sense. If you want to create meals that meet a calorie requirement AND a macro requirement AND a budget requirement all while including certain foods and excluding others, EatThisMuch is a one-stop solution. No more scouring the Internet for hours to find recipes that match all your different requirements. All the nutritional information is shown right there alongside the listed meal. How convenient is that?
Affordable
EatThisMuch is quite affordable, too. It costs $5/month if you pay for a year. It’s $9/month if you pay monthly. (And if you refer your friends, you can earn free months).
Considering the amount of time EatThisMuch saves me trying to figure out the right things to eat to stay within my plan, I think that’s an incredible deal. Not to mention that it gives me meals I can put together in under 15 minutes most of the time. PRICELESS!
They offer a free 14-day trial, so you can test it out before you decide to join. Check it out.
Legion Athletics provides a lot of great resources for building muscle (and losing weight). They offer 10 days of meal plans for $39.99. It’s a good deal, but you can see that a year’s worth of fully-customizable meal plans at EatThisMuch for $60 is a much better deal!
